Bristol Room

Learn the Hawaiian lei-making technique of hilo (twisting).

Using Hawaiian ti leaves, create a small lei to take home and contribute to a piece that will be used in the performance of “Native Intelligence/Innate Intelligence” with Christopher K. Morgan and Artists at Hamilton College.

The workshop is open to all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.

Using the metaphor of lei making for the strands of our DNA, the work looks to weave together stories from varied identities as a way to build bridges that celebrate difference and respect unique individuality.
