Visit the library parking lot to have confidential paper items shredded and recycled. Paperback books will also be collected for recycling or library donation.
During the drive-thru event, all attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles. Confidata advises that there is a five bankers’ box limit on items to be shredded and that staples need not be removed. Boxes will be emptied and returned to participants.
According to Confidata, acceptable paper items for onsite shredding include, but are not limited to: old files, computer print-outs, typing paper, account ledger sheets, copier paper, memos, plain envelopes, index cards, manila folders, brochures, pamphlets, blueprints, post-it notes, unbound reports, calculator tapes, and notebook paper.
Only paperback books can be accepted; no hardcovers can be processed at this event. Books not selected for the library's collection or book sale will be recycled.Â
