Community members, parents, and educators are invited to a community-wide conversation about "The Knowledge Gap" by Natalie Wexler.
In the book, Wexler explores an important question in education: why do so many students struggle with reading comprehension?
The book highlights how schools, parents, and community members all have an important role in shaping children’s knowledge of the world—through conversations, shared experiences, reading, and everyday learning, which can aid in reading comprehension.
Copies of the book are available at the library’s front desk.
